How long have you lived in the Cincinnati area?
I was born and raised here!
What do you love about living in Cincinnati?
I really love how this city is growing and changing: new restaurants, a revitalized downtown, and and how accessible the city is while still offering a lot of neat things that a bigger city would like the arts and parks, etc. I also adore myneighborhood of Bellevue. We have so many neighborhood friends and a sense of community here, with a devotion to improving our schools and maintaining and improving our historic districts while looking toward the future. It’s a one-square-mile small town 5 minutes from downtown Cincinnati - a true gem.
What's your favorite place to eat in Cincinnati?
Goldstar or Skyline?
UC or XU?
UC! As an alumna and daughter of a former Bearcat football player, I may be disowned if I cheered for anyone else.
What does your ideal Saturday look like?
My kids sleeping past 6:30 a.m., a lazy morning with French press coffee and reading lots of books to my boys, then something fun with the whole family in the afternoon. Maybe a cookout with our neighbors to cap off the day.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Iceland, Greece, and Spain are on my bucket list.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A teacher or a midwife.
Why did you become a doula?
Becoming a mom was a challenging experience, I realizes firsthand the need for unbiased support in all-things parenthood. From infant feeding to sleep, from labor and delivery choices to postpartum recovery, from back to work transitions to traveling for a career with a new baby, I felt a strong desire to find the best training on how to support families and their parenting choices in a truly unbiased way.
